Dimitrios Kattis is a Greek high jumper who was born on 7 February, 1956 in Greek. He is a two-time Olympian, having competed in the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics. He is also a two-time European Indoor Champion, having won the gold medal in the high jump in 1985 and 1987. Kattis is a two-time Greek National Champion in the high jump, having won the title in 1983 and 1984. He also won the silver medal at the 1983 Mediterranean Games in Casablanca, Morocco. Kattis is 1.90 m (6 ft 3 in) tall and weighs 85 kg (187 lb). Kattis is married to his wife, Maria, and they have two children, a son and a daughter. Kattis is currently retired from competitive athletics and is a coach and mentor to young athletes. He is also a motivational speaker and has written several books on the subject of sports and athletics.

Earlier that year competing for Panathinaikos, Athina, he was also the Greek national champion in the event, clearing 2.24m that year. He also competed in the 1982 European Athletics Indoor Championships and the 1985 IAAF World Indoor Games.
