1987

Telnov is married and has children. As a teenager he worked as a volunteer at the Riga Zoo insectarium and was strongly influenced by works of Gerald Durrell and David Attenborough. At school age he visited courses for young zoologists and entomologists (1987-1991) at the Latvian Natural History Museum and distantly studied biology (1990-1992) at the Lomonosov Moscow State University's Multidisciplinary distant school. Tropical ecology, evolutionary biology and anthropology (especially of recent indigenous societies and their languages) are his hobby interests.
