She went on to become one of the most successful alpine skiers in Swiss history, winning a total of seven World Cup races and two World Cup titles. She also competed in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, where she finished in fourth place in the giant slalom. De Agostini retired from competitive skiing in 1988 and has since become a successful businesswoman. She is the founder and CEO of the Swiss ski apparel company, De Agostini Sportswear.
