Ceklic was born in Belgrade, Serbia, Yugoslavia, on 14 June 1945. He studied at the University of Belgrade, where he earned a degree in film production. Ceklic began his career in the film industry in the late 1970s, working as a production manager on several films. He then moved into acting, appearing in a number of films and television series.
