Edward Brigati is an American singer, songwriter, and composer. He is best known as a member of the Rascals, a popular 1960s rock band. He was born on October 22, 1946 in Garfield, New Jersey. Brigati began his career as a member of the Rascals, a band he formed with his brother, Felix, and two other friends. The band had a string of hits in the 1960s, including "Good Lovin'", "Groovin'", and "People Got to Be Free". Brigati left the Rascals in 1970 and went on to pursue a solo career. He released several solo albums, including "Edward Brigati" (1972), "Brigati" (1974), and "Brigati and Friends" (1977). He also wrote and produced songs for other artists, including "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" for Vicki Lawrence and "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" for the Supremes. Brigati has also composed music for films, including "The Godfather Part II" (1974) and "The Deer Hunter" (1978). He has also appeared in several films, including "The Godfather Part II" and "The Deer Hunter". Brigati is currently retired and living in New Jersey. He is 75 years old.
