Edward Jeffries

On the 6th of February 2006 EJs Films first independent movie taking approximately 4 years to make Team Orion, The Fight For Freedom "Was Released". In the production of this movie Edward was the Director but also performed as Colonel Peter Jackson. Edward was also fortunate to release a second Music Album and because his band held of on studio time they were also able to go on tour as The Stars of Orion®. An interactive website has also been set-up.

During the 6 February 2004 Edward and his band The Stars of Orion® released their first Album dedicating the songs to Sophie Bennett. Edward then later successfully graduated from College also receiving certificates in Music Technical Production, Business, Media and Animation & Visual Effects.

Having been inspired at a young age from the movie/series 'Stargate' to become an actor, Some friends and himself got together to perform as the SG-1 team. As usual Edward would perform the role of Colonel Jack O'Neil and his other friends playing Tilk, Daniel Jackson and Samantha Carter from the SG-1 team. Undertaking their own missions that were carried out at a local park and used water pistols as weapons. Just like what takes place today in their filming but with special effects. In his younger years Edward became a very respectable scout leader. Learning new skills and making new friends and nearly earning every badge that was possible to get within the scouts, all of them which were also of the highest level. Primary School for Edward had its ups and downs but Edward Said he would do it all again if he could because of its simplicity. In year 7 he wrote a musical song for his teacher 'Ms Jessarowski' which originally started out as a poem. This song was the first in his life that was completely written on his own. In Edward's first year of College he caught up with an old friend John Haydon that he'd met at another friend's birthday party. Now great friends and working together. John became EJs Films Assistant Director. That year Edward formed a group and started writing scripts and stories and after began filming. Some accidents occurred and the video turned out to be fuzzy but it still had a meaning. During mid year College Edward filmed a year 7 Graduation and came up with the Trademark EJsFilms. In the year of 2001 "The Saddle Club" had just started being shown on TV but Edward didn't pay much attention to it. It was only when he saw one of the actresses Edward realized that he had feelings of deep respect for her. The name of this actress is Sophie Bennett and she plays a young girl in The Saddle Club called "Stevie Lake".

Edward Jeffries suffered a heart attack on March 18, 1950, while on vacation in Miami Beach, Florida. He died shortly thereafter on April 2, 1950. The section of I-96 in Livonia and Detroit is named in Jeffries' honor.

In 1939, Jeffries ran for mayor of Detroit against Richard Reading as an economically conservative, socially responsible reformer. Reading, enmeshed in an enormous corruption scandal that eventually sent him to jail, lost the election by more than two-to-one. He ran for election as mayor four more times, winning the next three to serve as mayor from 1940 to 1948. Jeffries bid for a fifth term was unsuccessful because of his unpopularity in the wake of the 1943 race riot, and he lost to councilman Eugene Van Antwerp. Jeffries was elected once more to serve on the City Council, beginning in 1950, but died in office.

Jeffries ran for Detroit City Council in 1932, and served on that body for four terms, from 1932 until 1940, serving the last two as City Council president. While serving on the Council, Jeffries came under the influence of long-time councilman John C. Lodge. Jeffries was already more moderate in stance than his radical father, eager to work within the existing power structure, and Lodge, who shared a similar outlook, was a natural ally.

The younger Jeffries attended the Detroit Public Schools and the University of Michigan, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1920 and a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1923. He then continued his education at Lincoln's Inn in London in 1923 and 1924, studying Roman and British common law. After his tour in Europe, Jeffries returned to Detroit to take up law practice. In 1929, he became general counsel for Royal Maccabees Insurance, a position he held until his death in 1950. In 1930, Jeffries married Florence O. Bell.

Edward J. Jeffries Jr. (April 3, 1900 – April 2, 1950) was an American politician, councilman, and mayor of Detroit.
