Endel Nelis is a former Estonian fencer who competed in the individual and team épée events at the 1952 and 1956 Summer Olympics. He won a bronze medal in the team event in 1956. Nelis was born on 28 September 1925 in Tartu, Estonia. He began fencing in 1945 and was a member of the Estonian national team from 1947 to 1959. He won the Estonian national championship in épée in 1951 and 1952. Nelis competed in the individual and team épée events at the 1952 and 1956 Summer Olympics. He finished in 11th place in the individual event in 1952 and in 8th place in 1956. He won a bronze medal in the team event in 1956. Nelis retired from competitive fencing in 1959 and became a fencing coach. He was the head coach of the Estonian national team from 1960 to 1965. He was also the head coach of the Soviet Union national team from 1965 to 1970. Nelis is 68 years old. He has not revealed his current net worth.
