Enrico Prampolini was an Italian artist, art director, and set designer. He was born in Modena, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, on April 20, 1894. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and was a member of the Futurist movement. He was a major contributor to the Futurist movement, creating works of art that were often controversial and provocative. Prampolini was a prolific artist, creating works in a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, and set design. He was also an art director for several films, including the classic Italian film "The Last Days of Pompeii" (1926). He was also a set designer for the film "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" (1920). Prampolini's works often featured abstract shapes and bright colors, and he was known for his use of dynamic lines and movement. He was also a pioneer in the use of photomontage, a technique he used to create surrealistic images. Prampolini died in Rome on October 28, 1956. He is remembered as one of the most influential figures in the Futurist movement, and his works are still highly regarded today.
