Fatt Father is an American rapper from Detroit, Michigan. He was born on February 17, 1980. He is best known for his work with the Detroit hip-hop collective, The Almighty Dreadnaughtz. Fatt Father began his career in the late 1990s, releasing his debut album, "The Fatt Father LP" in 1999. Since then, he has released several albums, including "The Fatt Father LP 2" (2002), "The Fatt Father LP 3" (2005), and "The Fatt Father LP 4" (2008). Fatt Father has collaborated with a number of other Detroit-based artists, including Slum Village, Guilty Simpson, and Elzhi. He has also worked with producers such as J Dilla, Black Milk, and Waajeed. Fatt Father is currently signed to the Detroit-based label, Street Corner Music. He is also the founder of the Detroit-based record label, Fatt Father Music. As of 2020, Fatt Father's net worth is estimated to be roughly $1 million.

2019

Shabazz grew up in Detroit with his mother and two brothers, Sammie and Jerry. The oldest, Shabazz was forced at a young age to become the leading male role model he and his brothers never really had. Shabazz found himself with many different roles in the household. Roles that he wasn’t entirely comfortable playing at first. "I had to feel my way through life", he reflects. "But as you know, I grew up and I found my niche, which was music".

Studying at Denby High School, music became Shabazz’s salvation and escape from his problems at home. It was his way of venting. "It gave me an outlet", he said. "Because without that, I would have been out on the streets hustling, and doing what I needed to do in order to survive".

In 2014, he started a cartoon project "Storytime With Fattfather" with graphics by Auxiliary Cinema, but only one episode has been released.

In 2003, Shabazz’s younger brother Sam was killed at the age of 19, he died on their mother's birthday in 2003.
