Florica Bucur is a Romanian rower who was born on 18 May, 1959 in Romania. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, having won gold in the women's quadruple sculls at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. She also won a bronze medal in the women's double sculls at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Bucur began rowing in 1976 and was a member of the Romanian national team from 1979 to 1992. She won a total of nine medals at the World Rowing Championships, including four gold medals. She also won a total of seven medals at the European Rowing Championships, including four gold medals. Bucur retired from rowing in 1992 and has since worked as a coach and administrator. She is currently the president of the Romanian Rowing Federation.
