Bessy began her career in the theatre, appearing in plays such as "La Dame aux Camélias" and "La Belle Hélène". She made her film debut in 1941 in the film "Le Diable au Corps". She went on to appear in over 40 films, including "La Ronde" (1950), "Les Diaboliques" (1955), "La Vérité" (1960), and "La Grande Vadrouille" (1966).
