Frank Cope (weightlifter) is a British weightlifter who was born on 8 December, 1928 in London, England. He is best known for his success in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, where he won a bronze medal in the featherweight division. Cope began his weightlifting career in the late 1940s, and quickly rose to prominence in the sport. He was a member of the British Weightlifting Team from 1947 to 1952, and was the British Featherweight Champion in 1948 and 1949. In 1948, Cope competed in the Summer Olympics in London, where he won a bronze medal in the featherweight division. He also competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, but did not medal. Cope retired from weightlifting in the mid-1950s, and went on to become a successful businessman. He is now 84 years old. Cope has been married twice, and has two children. He currently resides in London.
