Kornbluth, with whom he collaborated on such popular novels as "The Space Merchants" (1953). He was barely into his twenties when he became the first editor of the magazines "Astounding Stories" and "Super Science Stories" and was later respected as editor of "Galaxy Science Fiction" and of its companion publications, "If," "Worlds of Tomorrow," and "Magabook."
