Ginyo Ganev is a Bulgarian politician who served as the Prime Minister of Bulgaria from 1997 to 2001. He was born on 2 March 1928 in Burgas, Bulgaria. Ganev studied law at Sofia University and graduated in 1952. He then worked as a lawyer in Burgas until he was elected to the National Assembly in 1990. He was appointed Minister of Justice in 1991 and Minister of Interior in 1992. In 1997, Ganev was elected Prime Minister of Bulgaria. During his tenure, he implemented a number of economic reforms and oversaw the country's accession to NATO in 2004. He also served as the Chairman of the Bulgarian Socialist Party from 2001 to 2005. Ganev is currently 88 years old. He has a height of 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 m). He is married to his wife, Maria Ganeva, and has two children. Ganev has an estimated net worth of $1 million.
