Greg Cook is a retired American basketball player who was born on 8 December, 1958 in Newark, New Jersey, United States. He attended Seton Hall University and was drafted by the San Diego Clippers in the 1980 NBA Draft. He played for the Clippers for two seasons before being traded to the New Jersey Nets in 1982. Cook was a 6'7" forward who was known for his athleticism and ability to score. He averaged 11.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in his two seasons with the Clippers. He was also a good defender, averaging 1.3 steals per game. Cook's career was cut short due to a knee injury he suffered in 1983. He attempted to make a comeback in 1984, but was unable to do so. He retired from basketball in 1985. Since his retirement, Cook has worked as a basketball coach and scout. He currently works as a scout for the New York Knicks.
