Gunvor Smolan is a Swedish politician who served as a Member of Parliament from 1982 to 1994. She was born on 8 July 1926 in Stockholm, Sweden. Smolan was a member of the Moderate Party and served as a Member of Parliament for the Stockholm County constituency from 1982 to 1994. She was a member of the Committee on Social Affairs from 1982 to 1994 and the Committee on Education from 1982 to 1988. Smolan was also a member of the Stockholm City Council from 1971 to 1982 and the Stockholm County Council from 1982 to 1994. She was a member of the Moderate Party's executive committee from 1982 to 1994. Smolan was a member of the Swedish delegation to the Council of Europe from 1982 to 1994. She was also a member of the Swedish delegation to the United Nations from 1982 to 1994. Smolan was awarded the Order of the Polar Star in 1994. She is currently retired and lives in Stockholm.
