Haris Silajdzic is a Bosnian actor and politician who has been active in the entertainment industry since the 1960s. He is best known for his roles in films such as The Battle of Sutjeska (1973), The Perfect Circle (1977), and The Professional (1981). Silajdzic was born in Breza, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1945. He studied acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo and began his career in the theater. He made his film debut in 1967 with the Yugoslavian film The Battle of Sutjeska. He went on to appear in numerous films throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including The Perfect Circle (1977), The Professional (1981), and The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988). In addition to his acting career, Silajdzic has also been active in politics. He served as the Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2007 to 2012.
