Harry Vanda is a Dutch-born Australian songwriter, producer, and musician. He is best known as one half of the songwriting and production duo Vanda & Young, alongside fellow songwriter and producer George Young. Vanda & Young wrote and produced many hits for Australian rock band AC/DC, including "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)", "High Voltage", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", and "Love at First Feel". Vanda was born in The Hague, Netherlands, and moved to Australia with his family in 1960. He began his music career in the mid-1960s, playing in various bands in Sydney. In 1966, he formed the band The Easybeats with George Young, and the duo went on to write and produce many of the band's hits. In the 1970s, Vanda & Young wrote and produced many hits for AC/DC, including "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)", "High Voltage", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap", and "Love at First Feel". They also wrote and produced hits for other Australian artists, including John Paul Young, Cheetah, and The Angels. Vanda & Young were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1988. Vanda has also been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Music Victoria Hall of Fame. As of 2021, Harry Vanda's net worth is estimated to be roughly $10 million.
