Hashem Kolahi is an Iranian wrestler who was born on 22 April, 1956 in Iran. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a silver medal in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and a bronze medal in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. He is also a four-time World Champion and a four-time Asian Champion. Kolahi began wrestling at the age of 12 and was coached by his father. He won his first international medal in 1977 at the World Cup in Tehran. He went on to win the World Championships in 1982, 1983, 1985, and 1987. He also won the Asian Championships in 1982, 1983, 1985, and 1987. Kolahi retired from wrestling in 1989 and has since become a coach and a referee. He is currently the head coach of the Iranian national wrestling team. Kolahi is married and has two children. He currently resides in Tehran, Iran.
