Hunt Sales is an American musician, actor, and producer. He was born on March 2, 1954, in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his work as a drummer for the punk rock band The Stooges, as well as for his work with Todd Rundgren, Iggy Pop, and Tin Machine. Sales began his career as a drummer in the early 1970s, playing with various bands in the Los Angeles area. In 1974, he joined The Stooges, replacing original drummer Scott Asheton. He played on the band's final two albums, Raw Power and Metallic K.O. In the late 1970s, Sales joined Todd Rundgren's band Utopia, playing on the albums Adventures in Utopia and Deface the Music. He also played on Rundgren's solo albums, Hermit of Mink Hollow and Healing. In the 1980s, Sales joined Iggy Pop's band, playing on the albums Soldier and Party. He also played on Tin Machine's debut album, Tin Machine. Sales has also appeared in several films, including The Doors, The People vs. Larry Flynt, and The Crow: City of Angels. In 1976, he played drums with the hard rock power trio Paris, formed by former Fleetwood Mac guitarist/songwriter Bob Welch. This trio (which included ex-Jethro Tull bassist Glenn Cornick) was short-lived, releasing two albums for Capitol Records. Hunt played and sang backing vocals on the second Paris album, Big Towne, 2061.

Hunt Sales' first group was with brother Tony in Tony and the Tigers. They appeared on Hullabaloo in 1966, and also on the local Detroit/Windsor dance show Swingin' Time with Robin Seymour.
