He then went on to study at the University of Ghana, Legon, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science. He began his career in the civil service in 1951, and rose to become the Secretary to the Prime Minister in 1966. He was appointed the Secretary to the President in 1969, and held this position until his retirement in 1982. During his career, he was also a member of the National Liberation Council, the National Redemption Council, and the Supreme Military Council. He was also a member of the National Development Planning Commission, and the National Development Planning Commission. I. M. Ofori is 86 years old and has a net worth of $1 million.
