Indroyono Soesilo is an Indonesian politician and diplomat who served as the Minister of State for the Environment from 2009 to 2014. He was born on 27 March 1955 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He graduated from the University of Indonesia in 1979 with a degree in international relations. He began his career in the Indonesian Foreign Ministry in 1980, and served in various diplomatic posts in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. He was appointed as the Indonesian Ambassador to the United States in 2004, and served in that position until 2009. In 2009, he was appointed as the Minister of State for the Environment, and served in that position until 2014. During his tenure, he was responsible for the implementation of the Indonesian government's environmental policies, and was instrumental in the establishment of the Indonesian Climate Change Council. Indroyono Soesilo is currently 69 years old. He has a height of 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 m). He is married to his wife, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, and they have two children.
