As the Coronavirus pandemic continued to impact daily life, Syncbak's SBTV platform debuted two new channels dedicated to keeping people informed on the issue. The COVID-19 channel was launched on March 26, 2020 and features aggregated news content, refreshed hourly, from local TV broadcasters across 115 markets. Weeks later, SBTV expanded its coverage of the pandemic with the launch of the Survivors and Heroes channel.
In February 2018, PitchBook named Perry's streaming media company, Syncbak, Inc., the most valuable VC-backed company in Iowa.
In May of 2018, Perry's company launched its inaugural TechFronts event, focusing on the future of OTT from a technical perspective. During the event, Perry launched Syncbak's new direct-to-cosumer OTT app, SBTV.

In 2011, at the CEA CES on the Hill event, Perry introduced the Syncbak OTT platform to assist over-the-air digital broadcasting to move to the Internet C-SPAN The Communicators at CES on the Hill 2011.
In 2004, along with FCC Chairman Michael Powell, Perry introduced AntennaSelector.com and CheckHD, online tools he created which were designed to help consumers migrate from analog to digital television C-SPAN Consumers and Digital Television. AntennaSelector.com is known today as antennaweb.org.
Perry was inducted into the Academy of Digital Television Pioneers and was nominated for an Academy Award (for Best Industry Leadership) in 2004. He was elected to the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 2003 and was named one of Dealerscope's 40 most influential people under 40 in the consumer electronics industry that same year. In 2008, his TitanTV web studio won a Webby Award for Titan Greens, an edgy take on eco-news.
Prior to founding Syncbak, Perry was CEO of Decisionmark Corp (1996-2009) where he created Geneva, a subscriber authentication technology used by ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, DirecTV, Echostar and every local television station in the U.S. In 2000, Perry created and launched TitanTV.com, the first-ever web based electronic program guide with built-in DVR capabilities. He created his first software package, RunningCounts, in 1990. In 1995, Jack authored the "Group Calendaring and Scheduling" section of the book, GroupWare: Technology and Applications
Perry graduated from the University of Iowa in 1988. He attended Grand Rapids Junior College where he played hockey for two years. Perry graduated from Ottawa Hills High School (Michigan) where he ran cross country and played hockey. He was the captain of both teams.
