Jamie Schutz is an Emmy Award winning producer and director and President of Stick Figure Studios and is currently producing a feature documentary on Holocaust survivor and Westfield Malls magnate, Frank Lowy for TriBeca Studios and a feature documentary on Arthur Ashe. Jamie is in pos-production on ONE VOTE, a documentary that chronicles the journey voters take to cast their ballot and just recently produced STEP, a feature documentary on a high school girl's step dance team. This film premiered at Sundance 2017 and was acquired by Fox Searchlight.
Jamie also produced DANCER, a feature documentary on Sergei Polunin, the controversial ballet star at The Royal Ballet for IFC/BBC and "Chasing Tyson" in 2015, a feature documentary for ESPN on Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield. He also directed "The Collectors," the Sundance nominated series for ESPN and 538, and produced an animated series with Ozzie Guillen for Grantland.
Jamie also produced a series entitled, "The Mask with Henrik Lundqvist" and "Clyde's New York," a documentary about Walt "Clyde" Frazier for MSG Networks in 2015. He also produced "Spyball," a documentary for ESPN about former baseball player and spy Moe Berg and "And of the Son," a documentary about Jackie Robinson for ESPN. He also served as Director of Business Development at CPX Interactive where he strategized and managed the build out of O&O's while overseeing product development for the global media company. Television credits include Executive Producer on "Jason of Beverly Hills" for E!, "The Ugly Agency," "Miami Ink," and "Shalom in the Home" for TLC. Other television producing credits are "Lost in the USA" for The WB, "Nanny 911" for Fox and "The Miller Show" for Oxygen.
In 2003, Jamie co-created and produced the first reality feature film, "The Real Cancun," which was distributed worldwide by New Line Cinema. He was also hired to develop two television series for New Line Television and CBS that same year.
In 2000, Jamie spent four months in Borneo producing the first season of the groundbreaking reality series "Survivor" for CBS. He followed that up with four months in the Australian Outback for "Survivor 2" and another trip to Malaysia to produce "Eco-Challenge: Borneo" for USA Network before leeches finally got the better of him and he returned stateside.
In 1999, Jamie wrote and directed a dozen spots for Comcast and earned a Telly Award for Outstanding Commercial Direction.
