Jean-Christophe Averty is a French director, writer, and actor. He is best known for his work in television, particularly for his direction of the popular French television series "Les Guignols de l'info" and "Les Enfants du Rock". He has also directed several feature films, including "La Vieille Dame et les Pigeons" (1997) and "La Vieille Dame et les Pigeons 2" (1999). Averty was born in Paris on 6 August 1928. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique in Paris, and began his career as an actor in the 1950s. He made his directorial debut in the 1960s with the television series "Les Guignols de l'info". He has since directed numerous television series and films, including "Les Enfants du Rock" (1985), "La Vieille Dame et les Pigeons" (1997), and "La Vieille Dame et les Pigeons 2" (1999).
