Jeremy Begbie is a British theologian, musician, and author. He is currently the Thomas A. Langford Research Professor of Theology at Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina. He was born in 1957 in London, England. Begbie studied music at the Royal College of Music in London and theology at the University of Cambridge. He has held academic positions at the University of St. Andrews, the University of Cambridge, and Duke Divinity School. Begbie is the author of several books, including Theology, Music and Time (2000), Resounding Truth: Christian Wisdom in the World of Music (2007), and Voicing Creation's Praise: Towards a Theology of the Arts (2009). He has also written numerous articles and essays on theology, music, and the arts. Begbie is married to the British theologian and author, Elaine Graham. They have two children.

Prior to teaching at Duke Divinity School in 2009, he was the Associate Principal of Ridley Hall, Cambridge, as well as an Affiliated Lecturer in the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge. In addition, he was an Honorary Professor of Theology at the Institute for Theology, Imagination, and the Arts at St. Mary's College, University of St. Andrews, in Scotland, as well as the Associate Director of the program. He is currently Thomas A. Langford Distinguished Professor of Theology at Duke University. He is Senior member of Wolfson College, Cambridge.
