Jerheme Urban is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. He was born on November 26, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas. He played college football at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
Urban was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the Cardinals from 2003 to 2006, the Seattle Seahawks in 2007, and the Philadelphia Eagles from 2008 to 2009.
Urban finished his NFL career with a total of 1,845 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. He also had a total of 1,845 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Urban is currently the wide receivers coach at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is married to his wife, Jennifer, and they have two children.

Urban served as an assistant coach at Trinity for two seasons. In 2013, Urban was offensive coordinator, and the previous year he mentored the defensive backs. Urban became the Tigers head football coach on November 21, 2013. After six seasons, his record at the school stands at 38-22 (0.633) with one Southern Athletic Association championship (shared) in 2019.
Urban was a member of two NFC Championship teams during his nine year NFL Career. He was a member of the 2005 Seattle Seahawks team that played in Super Bowl XL, and he was a member of the 2008 Arizona Cardinals team that played in Super Bowl XLIII. Urban was signed as an undrafted free agent from Trinity by the Seattle Seahawks and served as a reserve wide receiver during his years there from 2003-05. His 2005 season was cut short by a re-aggravated left foot stress fracture. He was put on injured reserve and kept as a member of the team during the 2005 NFC Championship run that saw the Seahawks play in Super Bowl XL. He was then signed by the Cowboys in 2006 and joined their practice squad, and was cut from the team's active roster before the start of the 2007 season. The Arizona Cardinals signed him to their active roster from the waiver wire on September 2, 2007. He caught a then career-high 22 passes in 2007, including two touchdowns. In the NFC Championship year that saw the Arizona Cardinals play in Super Bowl XLIII, Urban set new career marks in 2008 with 34 catches for 448 yards and four touchdowns. He also contributed 11 tackles on special teams and completed his first pass in the NFL. He was then signed from free agency to the Chiefs roster on March 11, 2010.
Urban arrived at Trinity, where he not only played wide receiver but ran track from 1999-2003. He holds the school career records for touchdowns and set single season records for all-purpose yards, most touchdowns, and most touchdowns scored, all of which he continues to hold as of early 2020. As a track athlete, he was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Male Track & Field Athlete of the Year from 2000-2003 and is still Trinity’s record-holder in the triple jump.
