Jim Higgins (footballer) was an Irish professional footballer who played as a forward for several clubs in the League of Ireland. He was born on 3 February 1926 in Dublin, Ireland. Higgins began his career with Drumcondra in 1945, before moving to Shelbourne in 1947. He then moved to Shamrock Rovers in 1950, where he won the League of Ireland title in 1951. He also won the FAI Cup with Rovers in 1953. Higgins then moved to Waterford in 1954, where he won the League of Ireland title in 1956. He also won the FAI Cup with Waterford in 1957. Higgins then moved to Cork Hibernians in 1958, before retiring from football in 1960. Higgins was 97 years old when he passed away in 2021. He was unmarried and had no children.
