John Foreman is an American film producer and executive producer. He is best known for producing films such as The Sting (1973), The Getaway (1972), The French Connection (1971), and The Exorcist (1973). Foreman was born on July 26, 1925 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He attended the University of Idaho and graduated with a degree in business administration. Foreman began his career in the film industry in the 1950s, working as an assistant director and production manager on various films. In the 1960s, he began producing films, and in the 1970s, he became an executive producer. Foreman has produced and executive produced over 50 films, including The Sting (1973), The Getaway (1972), The French Connection (1971), The Exorcist (1973), The Towering Inferno (1974), The Omen (1976), The China Syndrome (1979), and The Verdict (1982). Foreman has been nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Picture for The Sting (1973) and The French Connection (1971). He has also been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for Best Motion Picture – Drama for The Sting (1973) and The Verdict (1982). Foreman is married to his wife, Mary, and they have two children. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
