John M. Hickman is an American architect who was born on 28 May, 1925 in Kansas. He is best known for his work on the Kansas City Power & Light Building, the Kansas City Convention Center, and the Kansas City International Airport. Hickman graduated from the University of Kansas in 1948 with a degree in architecture. He then went on to work for the firm of Edward B. Delk and Associates in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1953, he opened his own firm, John M. Hickman & Associates, which he ran until his retirement in 1990. Hickman's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the American Institute of Architects' Kansas City Chapter's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. He was also inducted into the Kansas City Business Hall of Fame in 2006. Hickman is currently 98 years old and is married to his wife, Mary. He has two children, John and Mary, and four grandchildren. Hickman's net worth is estimated to be around $2 million. He has earned his wealth through his successful career as an architect.
