Weber won a bronze medal in the 4×100 m freestyle relay at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. She also competed in the 100 m freestyle and 4×100 m medley relay, but did not reach the finals. Weber won two gold medals in the 4×100 m freestyle relay and 4×100 m medley relay at the 1971 European Aquatics Championships in Belgrade. Her husband, Folkert Meeuw, competed for West Germany in swimming at the 1968 and 1972 Olympics and won a silver medal in 1972. Her son, Helge Meeuw, also competed in swimming, for unified Germany, in the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics, and won a silver medal in 2012.
