Ken Williams is an American game programmer, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Sierra On-Line, one of the earliest and most successful video game companies. He was born on October 30, 1954 in the United States. Williams began his career in the early 1980s, programming games for the Apple II computer. He co-founded Sierra On-Line with his wife, Roberta Williams, in 1980. The company went on to become one of the most successful video game companies of the 1980s and 1990s, producing popular titles such as King's Quest, Space Quest, and Police Quest. Williams served as Sierra's CEO until 1996, when the company was acquired by CUC International. He then served as the company's president until 1999, when it was acquired by Havas Interactive. Williams left the company in 2000 and went on to found his own game development studio, Rocket Science Games. Williams is currently the CEO of Rocket Science Games, which he founded in 2000. He is also a board member of the International Game Developers Association. As of 2021, Ken Williams' net worth is estimated to be roughly $50 million.

Williams and wife Roberta co-founded On-Line Systems in 1979. Sierra's notable online service, the ImagiNation Network, was purchased by AT&T in 1994. Williams was the president of Sierra until the company was sold to CUC International in July 1996, but he remained with the company leading its strategic direction until November 1997. Vivendi (now Activision Blizzard after the Vivendi Games and Activision merger) currently holds the Sierra name.
