Kenjiro Ezaki is a Japanese composer and conductor. He is best known for his works for the Japanese film industry, including the scores for the films "Rashomon" (1950), "The Seven Samurai" (1954), and "Yojimbo" (1961). He has also composed music for television, theater, and the concert hall. Born in Taiwan in 1926, Ezaki moved to Japan in 1945 and studied composition at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He began his career as a composer in the 1950s, and his works have been performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the NHK Symphony Orchestra, and the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra. Ezaki has received numerous awards for his work, including the Japan Academy Prize for Best Music in Film in 1954, the Mainichi Film Award for Best Music in Film in 1961, and the Japan Art Academy Award in 1975.
