Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He has written and produced over 26 number-one R&B hits throughout his career. He has won 11 Grammy Awards, including the Producer of the Year in 1995 and 1996. Edmonds was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and grew up in the city's northern suburbs. He began playing instruments at an early age, learning to play the piano at age four and the guitar at age eight. He attended North Central High School in Indianapolis, where he was a member of the marching band. Edmonds began his career as a member of the R&B group Manchild, which released two albums in the late 1970s. He then began writing and producing for other artists, including Whitney Houston, Boyz II Men, and Toni Braxton. He released his debut solo album, Lovers, in 1988, and has since released a total of nine studio albums. Edmonds has been married twice, first to Denise Edmonds from 1982 to 2005, and then to Tracey Edmonds from 2008 to 2019. He has four children. He is currently 62 years old.
