He is a member of the Liberal Democratic Party and is currently the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Miyazaki was born in Shinjuku City, Tokyo on 17 January 1981. He graduated from the University of Tokyo in 2004 with a degree in law. He then went on to work as a lawyer in Tokyo. In 2012, Miyazaki was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time. He has since been re-elected in 2014, 2017 and 2019. Miyazaki is married and has two children. In 2020, Miyazaki was appointed as the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
