Sheehan graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1975 with a degree in finance. He began his career in the travel industry in 1978, working for American Express. He then moved to Royal Caribbean Cruise Line in 1985, where he held various positions, including executive vice president of marketing and sales. In 2000, Sheehan was appointed CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line, where he served until 2008. During his tenure, he oversaw the company's expansion and growth, including the launch of the world's largest cruise ship, the Norwegian Epic. In 2009, Sheehan was appointed CEO of Oceania Cruises, where he served until 2014. He then returned to Norwegian Cruise Line as CEO in 2015, where he served until 2019. Sheehan is currently the chairman of the board of directors of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. As of 2021, Kevin Sheehan's net worth is estimated to be $50 million.
