Kjell Tånnander was a Swedish actor and director. He was born in Långaröd, Hörby, Sweden, and began his career in the theater in the 1950s. He was a member of the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm from 1956 to 1965. He also appeared in several films and television series, including the Swedish television series "Sjösalen" (1962-1965). Tånnander was married to actress and director Ingrid Tånnander from 1956 until her death in 2002. He was also the father of actor and director Peter Tånnander. Kjell Tånnander died on 28 April, 2021 at the age of 96. He was best known for his roles in the films "The Emigrants" (1971) and "The New Land" (1972). He was also the recipient of the Swedish Film Institute's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.

Kjell Uno Jörgen Tånnander (born 25 June 1927) is a retired Swedish decathlete who won a bronze medal at the 1950 European Athletics Championships. He competed at the 1948 and 1952 Summer Olympics and finished in 15th and 7th place, respectively. His daughters Annette and Kristine became Olympic heptathletes.
