Kroger Babb was an American showman, producer, and writer. He was born in Lees Creek, Ohio, and began his career in show business at the age of 15. He was known for his daring stunts and his ability to draw large crowds. He was also known for his innovative marketing techniques, which included the use of radio and television to promote his shows. Babb was the founder of the Kroger Babb Company, which produced a variety of shows, including The Buckeye Showman, America's Fearless Young Showman, and Mr. Pihsnamwohs. He was also the creator of the first traveling movie theater, which he called the "Kroger Babb Movie Machine." Babb was inducted into the International Showman's Hall of Fame in 1975. He died in 1984 at the age of 77.
