Laura Whitehorn is an American actress and activist who was born in 1945 in Brooklyn, New York. She is best known for her roles in the films "The Stepford Wives" (1975) and "The Seduction of Joe Tynan" (1979). Whitehorn began her career in the theater, appearing in productions of "The Crucible" and "The Glass Menagerie" in the early 1970s. She made her film debut in 1975 with a small role in "The Stepford Wives". She went on to appear in several other films, including "The Seduction of Joe Tynan" (1979), "The Verdict" (1982), and "The Cotton Club" (1984). In addition to her acting career, Whitehorn is an activist and political prisoner. She was arrested in 1985 for her involvement in the May 19th Communist Organization, a radical left-wing group. She was convicted of conspiracy to commit several bombings and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. She was released in 1999 after serving 14 years. Whitehorn is currently 76 years old.
