Anger began his career in the film industry in the early 1900s, working as a production manager for the American Mutoscope and Biograph Company. He worked on a number of films, including the first feature-length film, The Great Train Robbery (1903). In 1912, Anger formed his own production company, the Lou Anger Film Company. He produced a number of films, including The Adventures of Kathlyn (1913), The Million Dollar Mystery (1914), and The Million Dollar Mystery (1915). In 1915, Anger joined the Famous Players-Lasky Corporation, where he worked as a production manager and producer. He worked on a number of films, including The Sheik (1921), The Ten Commandments (1923), and The Big Parade (1925). Anger retired from the film industry in the late 1920s.
