Louis B. Vocelle is a former Florida state legislator who served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1972 to 1978. He was born on August 4, 1926 in Fort Pierce, Florida. He attended the University of Florida and graduated with a degree in business administration. Vocelle was first elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1972 and served until 1978. During his time in the legislature, he was a member of the Appropriations Committee and the Finance and Taxation Committee. He also served as the chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Education. Vocelle was a strong advocate for education and was instrumental in the passage of the Florida Education Finance Program, which provided additional funding for public schools. He also supported the creation of the Florida Community College System. In addition to his legislative career, Vocelle was a successful businessman. He owned and operated a number of businesses, including a real estate development company, a construction company, and a citrus grove. Vocelle is currently retired and lives in Fort Pierce, Florida. He is married and has two children.
