Luc Magloire Atangana Mbarga is a Cameroonian politician and diplomat who served as Prime Minister of Cameroon from 1992 to 1996. He was born in Mefou-et-Afamba, Cameroon, on 8 July 1954. He studied at the University of Yaoundé, where he obtained a degree in law in 1979. Mbarga was appointed Prime Minister of Cameroon in 1992, and served until 1996. During his tenure, he was responsible for the implementation of a number of economic reforms, including the privatization of state-owned enterprises. He also oversaw the introduction of a new currency, the CFA franc, and the establishment of the Central Bank of Central African States. In addition to his political career, Mbarga has held a number of diplomatic posts, including Ambassador to France, Ambassador to the United Nations, and Permanent Representative to the African Union. He is currently the President of the African Development Bank. Mbarga is married and has three children. His net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
