Mann Holiner was an American composer and arranger of popular music. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and began his career as a pianist in vaudeville. He went on to become a prolific composer and arranger of popular music, writing for Broadway shows, films, and television. He was also a prolific songwriter, writing over 500 songs, including the hit "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter". Holiner's career spanned from the 1920s to the 1970s. He wrote music for over 50 Broadway shows, including the musicals "The Pajama Game" and "Funny Girl". He also wrote music for films such as "The Great Race" and "The Music Man". He wrote the theme song for the television show "The Beverly Hillbillies". Holiner was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song for his song "The Ballad of Cat Ballou" from the 1965 film of the same name. He was also nominated for a Tony Award for Best Original Score for the musical "The Pajama Game". Holiner died in Los Angeles, California, on April 15, 1981, at the age of 83.
