Timeline
After working several positions on the independent feature 'Reunion' (2015), Marcus got the urge, drive and passion to get started on project Witchula's development stage to which is aimed to be MAB Studios' first independently produced, multi-million budgeted horror feature film. 'Witchula' is being promoted as the "real Expendables" of the horror genre and is set to star veteran leading actress Dee Wallace ('Cujo', 'The Howling' and Steven Spielberg's 'E. T.
In April 2014, after several attempts a decade earlier to get his second written screenplay 'Witchula' noticed and hopefully greenlit as a potentially successful feature with major production companies and studios such as New Line Cinema (to name one), Marcus decided to move forward with his work on his own, independently.
In 2013, Marcus became a freelancer and whether on-set related or location based, he quickly found work on several jobs which later helped him become SAG-Eligible. With a little over 100 credits under his belt, Marcus has tackled and accomplished work as a producer, actor, writer, director, and editor. Marcus has been working in the industry with ten years experience in both the independent arena and mainstream world of film and television. Marcus has worked for companies such as Lifetime, The Asylum, Showtime and 20th Century Fox Television.
His first paid set job began in 2011 as a key grip on the short 'Wreckless'. Immediately thereafter, Marcus started booking work on feature films, shorts, web series and print.
Several years later, Marcus moved to Richardson, Texas before relocating to Los Angeles in 2008 to pursue his professional career in the entertainment industry.
Marcus went on to study at Columbia College Hollywood in Tarzana, California from 2008-2013 for Film & Television Production, and shortly thereafter went on to applying his many crafted skills and knowledge towards many professional projects.
A native of Texas, Marcus Bradford was born in Dallas. While being raised in Plano, Marcus took interest in Fine Arts from a very early age into his High School years. Growing up, he was constantly putting on plays for his family and also created a movie theater inside his bedroom while charging admission. Marcus also developed the love for music and enrolled himself in the school band. He also got involved with theatre programs, technical theatre and the Communication Major Studies department for Film, Radio and Television. Marcus worked his way behind the camera soon afterwards, booking jobs at the local school district's cable studio. While attending Plano East Senior High, Marcus created several short films (writer, director, and producer) and even entered one of those films in the high school film festival. During his junior high school years at T. H. Williams High of the late 90's, Marcus created MAB Pictures, the name for his production company. MAB was formed as the acronym for Marcus Alan Bradford. MAB Pictures then became MAB Pictures/Production Company, but then in 2005 he added another name to the company which is now known as MAB Studios, the parent company. With this new addition, MAB Pictures became a division/entity within MAB Studios. Under Marcus' company banner, his short films were created. According to Bradford, MAB Studios' main focus for the company's future is to specialize and produce high-quality entertainment content which will include web-series, television, feature films, short films and photography.
Worked for Christian music artist, Chris Christian at Irving, Texas based The Movie Studios At Las Colinas [now Mercury Studios]. (2003).
