María Cristina Arango Vega is a Colombian politician and diplomat who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia from 1982 to 1986. She was the first woman to hold the position. Born in Bogotá, Arango Vega studied law at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and obtained a master's degree in international relations from the University of Paris.
