He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a relief pitcher from 1981 to 1989 for the Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, and Oakland Athletics. Clear stands at 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Clear was married to his wife, Debbie, for over 30 years. They have two children together. Clear's career in baseball began in 1975 when he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the first round of the amateur draft. He made his major league debut in 1981 and went on to play for the Brewers, Red Sox, and Athletics. He was a two-time All-Star and won the American League Rolaids Relief Man Award in 1987. Clear retired from baseball in 1989 and has since worked as a pitching coach for various minor league teams.
