Wicks began playing guitar at the age of 12 and was soon writing his own songs. He attended the University of Reading, where he studied music and formed The Feeling with his friends. The band released their debut album, Twelve Stops and Home, in 2006, which was a commercial success and spawned the hit single "Fill My Little World". Wicks has since released two solo albums, The Longest Day in 2008 and The Great Unknown in 2011. He has also collaborated with other artists, including the Pet Shop Boys, and has written and produced music for film and television. Wicks is currently married to his long-term partner, with whom he has two children. He is 42 years old and has an estimated net worth of $2 million.
