He is also a contributing editor to the Weekly Standard and a senior editor at the National Review. Continetti was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 2003 with a degree in English and American literature. Continetti began his career as a reporter for the Washington Times in 2004. He then worked as a staff writer for the Weekly Standard from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, he became the editor-in-chief of the Washington Free Beacon. Continetti has written for numerous publications, including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times. He is the author of The K Street Gang: The Rise and Fall of the Republican Machine (2009) and The Persecution of Sarah Palin: How the Elite Media Tried to Bring Down a Rising Star (2011).
