Matthew Reeve is an English actor, producer, and director. He is the son of the late actor Christopher Reeve and Dana Reeve. He was born on December 20, 1979 in The London Welbeck Hospital, London. Reeve attended The Collegiate School in New York City and graduated from Brown University in 2002. He then went on to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Reeve has appeared in several films and television shows, including The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, The Good Shepherd, and The Cold Light of Day. He has also directed and produced several short films, including The Remains and The End of the Tour. Reeve is the co-founder of the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, which is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, improving quality of life for people living with paralysis, and educating the public on living with a disability. Also in 2009, Reeve was admitted into the NYU MBA/MFA dual degree program, a joint Master’s program at the NYU Stern School of Business and NYU Tisch School of the Arts, from which he graduated in 2012.

In June 2006, Reeve joined the Board of Directors of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. He also serves on their Quality of Life committee and Executive Committee, and in 2014 became Vice-Chair of International Development. In 2009 he ran the New York City Marathon to raise money for spinal cord injury research, and in 2014 he sponsored a study of epidural stimulation.

After graduating from Brown University in 2002, Reeve produced and directed the documentary Christopher Reeve: Hope in Motion - which won the Communicator Award for Excellence in documentary filmmaking and was nominated for an Emmy. The film first aired on ABC on September 18, 2002 (as Christopher Reeve: Courageous Steps) and then later on BBC 1 on 9 February 2003 and in numerous other countries.
