Maxime Beaumont is a French canoeist who has been competing since the late 1990s. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a gold medal in the K-1 1000 m event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, and a bronze medal in the K-1 500 m event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He also won a gold medal in the K-1 1000 m event at the 2005 World Championships in Zagreb. Beaumont is 1.86 m (6 ft 1 in) tall and weighs 85 kg (187 lb). He is currently married to fellow French canoeist, Anne-Laure Viard.
